Yonkers Police Make Arrests in Vicious Gang Assault
Three men are under arrest, charged with gang assault after police broke up an apparent gang fight around 3:30 p.m. Monday at Palisade Avenue and James Street (Getty Square).
Police responding found a group of youghs fighting and a young man lying on the ground in convulsions. The victim, they say was covered in blood and was attempting to swallow his tongue when police intervened.
Police canvassed the area for suspects with witnesses and two suspects were arrested at Locust Hill Avenue and Lafayette Place. A Third suspect was located at Ann Street. Police say all three suspects, whose names are not being released at this time, have been charged with 2nd Degree Gang Assault. One of the suspects is a minor and was taken to the Youth Crimes Unit for processing.
The unidentified victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment and observation.
