Police Make Arrest in White Plains Hit and Run

A White Plains man is under arrest, charged with a hit and run crashlast December that nearly killed a 23 year old White Plains man.

23 year old Paul Rios was struck and suffered a severe head injury  in that crash struck while crossing the street at 120 East Post Road December 16. 

White Plains police say 37 year old Christin Ewing is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, a Felony. 

Police also recovered the vehicle allegedly involved in the hit and run, a dark-colored Mercedez Benz, which officials say has damage to the windshield as well as the driver's side mirror.

During their initial investigation in December, detectives uncovered surveillance video which captured the hit and run. After Rios was hit, two good samaritans who came to his aid were struck by another passing car, in an apparently unrelated hit and run. That driver was later apprehended.
