Weather Related Accidents Lead Cops to Drunk Drivers

Turns out the snow was good for something after all!

State troopers say the snowy weather over the past couple of days was instrumental in helping them make a couple of DWI arrests in Westchester.

State Police in Somers say the snow was the likely cause of two motor vehicle incidents. One, occurred around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night when cops found a car off the road in a snow bank on State Route 100 in the Town of Somers. The driver, police say, 65 year old Otto Leitner of Somers, was arrested after they determined he had a blood alcohol level of .18%.
