Former New York State Governor George Pataki has endorsed Westchester County Legislator Jim Maisano for New York State Supreme Court Justice. Maisano is running in the 9th Judicial District.

Said Pataki, "Jim is exactly the kind of justice we need-qualified, independent and experienced in dealing with complex issues. He will  lead by a judicial philosophy that understands the proper role of the courts and the principles set forth in the law and our Constitution."

The Westchester County Board of Legislators is poised to consider legislation sponsored by Legislators Tom Abinanti (D-Greenburgh) and Minority Leader Jim Maisano (R-New Rochelle) that would prohibit the County from using its powers of eminent domain for private economic development, such as shopping malls or to allow developers to build homes or condominiums.

Westchester County Legislator Jim Maisano, who is mounting a bid for Supreme Court Justice in the 9th Judicial District has been endorsed by the New Rochelle Uniformed Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 273.
