Yonkers Teacher Arrested for Forgery; Under Investigation in Sex Scandal
Yonkers Police say a faculty member from Saunders Trade and Tech High School is under investigation following allegations of sex abuse involving a number of male students as well as forgery for allegedly changing some students' grades.
Cops say 42 year old Dean M. Martin, a Computer Teacher at Saunders, was arrested and charged with forgery after the Yonkers Board of Education reported he allegedly changed the official records of several students. Martin who resides at 23 Water Grant Street in Yonkers, is expected to be arraigned sometime today on six counts of felony Second-Degree Forgery. Police Sgt. Patrick McCormack says additional charges may be forthcoming.
Several parents say they are shocked at the allegations, calling Martin "A great teacher."
Martin has worked as a teacher in Yonkers for more than 8 years.
