Family and friends are mourning the death of an NYPD cop who was killed after crashing his car in Mount Pleasant early Saturday. 28 year old Raphy Hidalgo lost control of his vehicle around 7:30 Saturday morning as he drove on Route 9 near Sleepy Hollow Road. The vehicle spun out of control and flipped over.
 Hidalgo,a former Marine who worked at the 28th Precinct in Central Harlem ,was pronounced dead at the scene. Mount Pleasant police are saying little about the crash and are promising more information on Monday. Hidalgo leaves behind a wife and two young daughters. Funeral arrangements are pending.
