Parole Violator Pleads Guilty to Two Murders and Murder Plot
A parole violator today pleaded guilty to a series of violent crimes including two murders and conspiracy to commit another.
28 year old Tony "Little Man" Bryant admitted he pulled the trigger in the fatal shooting of Yonkers cab driver Pericles Salas during a robbery last August. He also admitted it was his gun used in the slaying of a Bronx man, Cleveland Dinnall, who was shot in Dinnall's apartment building at 4431 Carpenter Avenue in the Wakefield section of the Bronx. Both of the killings were a week apart. Bryant also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder while he was at the Westchester County Jail.He admitted plotting to kill a woman using a hitman. That "hitman" turned out t be an undercover officer.
Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore issued a statement following the guilty pleas, saying, "Certain individuals demonstrate that they have no place in our society. This defendant robbed and murdered two people in totally unrelated incidents a week apart and while in jail conspired to kill a third person." Said DiFiore, "Today's sentence promise by the Court of twenty eight years to life in State Prison should serve to acknowledge the senselessness of the two murders and recognize the loss that two families have suffered."
Sentencing is set for November 9.
