Bradley Guilty of Domestic Abuse Charges
A judge has found White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley guilty of several charges in connection with the domestic abuse case involving his wife Fumiko.
Judge Susan Capeci rendered her decision this morning, finding Bradley guilty of harassment, attempted assault and second degree criminal contempt charges, but innocent of several others.
Bradley was in court for today's verdict. He had opted for a bench trial rather than a jury trial.
The first incident occurred at their home on Fernwood Road in white plains on January 11, when Fumiko Bradley said her husband became enranged and threw a mug of hot jasmine tea on her chest.
The second incident occurred on February 28, 2010, also at the Bradley home, when the Mayor grabbed his wife's left arm and placed it against a door frame and bruised her left hand.
Bradley Domestic Abuse Trial Wraps Up
Closing arguments were made today by both the defense and prosecution in the domestic abuse trial of White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley. Acting Supreme Court Justice Susan Capeci, who's presiding over the bench trial,announced that she will render a verdict on January 9.
Bradley's attorney Luis Andrew Penichet painted Bradley's wife Fumiko as an unstable and violent woman who brutalized him and painted her husband as the abuser to gain leverage in their current divorce.

Bradley Domestic Abuse Trial Begins
Testimony got underway today in the domestic violence trial of White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley. Before the first witness was called this morning, the judge in the case announced she will not allow testimony from two marriage counselors citing doctor/patient confidentiality.
More than 30 witnesses are expected to take the stand in the trial that's expected to last everal days.
Bradley has been arrested twice since February for alleged physical, verbal and emotional abuse of his wife Fumiko. The two have since filed for divorce.
White Plains Mayor Due in Court, Sources Say He May Resign
Embattled White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley is due in Westchester County Court Monday morning. He is facing a total of 9 charges, including two that allege he assaulted his wife, Fumiko. One stems from an incident in February when he allegedly slammed her hand in a door, another in January, when he's accused of throwing hot tea on her.
Last week, Mayor Bradley was slapped with additional charges including witness tampering and harassment, after he allegedly tried to force his wife to recant the allegations. Several members of the White Plains Common Council have indicated they feel the mayor should step down. Under the City's Charter, the panel could vote for his ouster.
Last night, a spokeswoman for the Mayor said he had "No plans to resign." If the mayor does step down, the City Council President would serve as acting Mayor and a special election would be held.
Bradley Arrested Again
White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley has been arrested again, this time for witness tampering, criminal attempt and harassment.
The Westchester D.A.'s office says Bradley was arrested about 1 o'clock this afternoon. Bradley is already facing 6 charges for allegedly slamming his wife Fumiko Bradley's hand in a door in February and for tossing hot tea on her in January.
Today's charges allege Bradley, on several occasions between March 5 and April 2, violated an order of protection and approached his wife and demanded she recant her allegations against him. In one instance, he allegedly went to a home in Scarsdale where she and her two children were staying and demanded that, in order to "save his career" say she was crazy or lied in her statement to the police about being abused by Bradley. Authorities say the confrontations were both verbal and physical.
Bradley is due in court April 12. A court date is expected to be announced at that time.
Bradley Facing New Charges
Embattled White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley had a date in court today to face misdemeanor assault charges involving his wife Fumiko. He was greeted by about two dozen protestors from the National Organization for Women calling on him to step down as mayor and to denounce domestic violence.
Five new charges were announced against Bradely, including two new counts of misdemeanor asault,attempted assault, and two counts of harassment, stemming from an incident in which Bradely allegedly threw hot tea on his wife Fumiko in January.
