Tina A. AdovasioJust hours after discovering the body of a missing Carmel man at the Turkey Mountain Nature Preserve, Yorktown Police say they have now recovered the body of a woman.

Yorktown Police Lt. Kevin Soravilla says police received a call at 5:53 p.m. Monday from an ATV rider that the body of a woman was located in a wooded area on Baldwin Road near the Taconic State Parkway in an area often frequented by ATV riders.

The area was secured, he said, and the victim was identified as 40 year old Tina A. Adovasio of the Bronx.

He says the NYPD is now investigating along with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.

The Westchester County Department of Public Safety assisted in the initial investigation, said Soravilla. The case is being treated as a homicide and the body has been taken to the Westchester Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Adovasio has been missing from her Bronx home since Friday. She worked as a nurse at the Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle.
